Frequently Asked Questions
Know Your Product Compliance Software
What is know your product compliance software?
Know your product compliance software documents how products are researched and recommended. Four Eyes Product Research & Point of Sale lets advisors screen and compare products against their category peers, record why a product suits the client and deliver Fund Fact Sheets, so every recommendation leaves an exam-ready record.
How does it support CIRO KYP and Reg BI care obligations?
Product Research & Point of Sale captures the evidence regulators expect for KYP and Reg BI. In Canada it supports CIRO know-your-product and suitability obligations under the Client Focused Reforms, and in the US it supports the care obligation under the SEC’s Regulation Best Interest, recording the client’s suitability requirements, the reasonable range of alternatives considered and the advisor’s attestation that the recommendation puts the client’s interest first.
What is recorded at the point of sale?
The full recommendation is recorded at the point of sale. Each record captures the recommended and compared products, the client’s suitability requirements, the alternatives considered, the criteria used, the Fund Fact Sheet delivery details and the advisor’s attestation, and a note is added to the client’s communication history automatically.
What is a point-of-sale attestation?
A recorded confirmation, made when a product is recommended, that the advisor assessed the client’s suitability requirements, considered a reasonable range of alternatives, and determined the recommendation puts the client’s interest first. In Four Eyes it is captured with the recommendation and stored in the client’s record.
How are Fund Fact Sheets delivered?
Fund Fact Sheets are delivered by email, in English or French. Fund Fact Sheets (the regulatory Fund Facts document) are sent as part of the recommendation: advisors and assistants choose the delivery method, date, time and language, can copy themselves on the email, and every delivery is logged with the recommendation.
Can assistants prepare comparisons for advisors?
Yes. Assistants research products, prepare comparisons and deliver Fund Fact Sheets, and send comparisons to the advisor’s Review tab, where the advisor completes the recommendation and attestation.
How does Four Eyes Cue help with product research?
Four Eyes Cue speeds up product research with AI. It summarizes comparisons, explains risk metrics in plain language and answers fund questions with confidence ratings and data references. Every answer reminds advisors to verify against official fund documents.
What can compliance see?
Compliance can see every search, comparison and recommendation. Supervisors review point-of-sale history by region or advisor group and open the exact client comparison that was sent, verified against the original before it is displayed. Related KYP alerts and cases flow into Case Management.
How does it relate to Product Shelf Management?
Product Research & Point of Sale and Product Shelf Management work together. Product Shelf Management governs which products the firm approves, restricts and rates, while Product Research & Point of Sale is where advisors research those products and document each recommendation.
Beyond the Recommendation
Govern the Shelf Behind Every Recommendation
Pair point-of-sale records with Product Shelf Management, so the products advisors research are approved, rated and governed, and with Pre-Trade Analyzer to check each trade against the client’s KYC before it’s placed.
